Spot the difference

Did you watch the Bella Boutique shows on Monday? Did you buy the kit? Do you want some inspiration? then look no further than our blog, our Pinterest page or our Facebook pages. You must apply to join the Facebook groups before you can see all the fabulous creations in both groups! You can find us at For The Love Of Kanban and Aspiring Crafters both on Facebook.

So why my title you may ask! Well the DT was sent out the Bella Boutique kit a couple of weeks ago and between us we made approximately 75 cards and as no two of them were the same I thought I would show you a couple of my pieces that were used on the show (I still get a thrill when I see my work on TV :))

The top two images are of my A5 gatefold "wardrobe card" which was made using the kit and the addition of some silver mirri card which is stunning and available from Aspire Crafts here. It has such a high reflection on it that you can almost put your make up on in it! It is by far the best mirri card I have ever used.
As you can see, this is a little calendar made using the kit, a 6" x 6" ivory card, the kit, a small piece of ribbon for the hanger and a calendar tab. These would make a lovely gift for teachers and are very cost effective.

Well that's it from me for this month and I will be back just before Christmas.

Take care and happy crafting

How to ........

Hi everyone , it's the 2nd Tuesday of the month , so it's time again for me to bring you a picture tutorial.
This time I am showing you how I decorated a canvas using elements from the Evergreen Collection from Kanban that can be found at Aspire Crafts .

Here is the finished canvas , and below is how to make it.

Here are all the items I have used.
1st I painted the canvas with Olive Green Acrylic Paint

I printed some large letters onto some of the backing paper and cut out.

Next I cut out some of the larger flowers, I found it easier to use a knife for this.

Some leaves from the Evergreen paper pad.
On the larger flowers I cut into the flower up to the button, so I could then curl the petals to give the flower more dimension.

Then start to assemble , it's best to pop it all where you would like it before sticking down.

Add the smaller flowers and some ribbon to finish.

Thank you for looking , hope to see you all again soon . I shall be back in December with another tutorial,

Fran xx

Fun at the NEC on the Create and Craft Stand

Good  Sunday morning to you. I thought I'd share some photos of yesterday at the NEC on the Create and Craft stand
Sue Dindale and me ( Denise Holmes)  did a lovely make and take on the Create and Craft stand at the NEC using the fabulous Kanban Denim and Lace kit.
The tickets all sold out at 9 oclock in the morning so we knew it was going to be a busy time.
These are the fabulous cards that Sue designed that we made

Busy working away

All too soon it was over and tidy up time - every one went home with a goody bag and completed cards.

I hope you enjoyed this little look into our day yesterday

Nicola's Pink Pick of the Month....

Hello lovelies and welcome to my

'Pink Pick of the Month'.

I can't believe the last month has whizzed by so quickly.

I have been working recently with the gorgeous

If you saw the show recently on Create and Craft TV you will have seen this kit.

It truly is gorgeous to work with, the quality is excellent. I love the design and colour's in this kit. There are many elements to this kit including florals, owls and denim pockets. Of course owls are always a popular option.

The kit I think is great too for any age group. You can make projects that take more time, or if time is short you can whip up fast cards in no time at all. This is brilliant if you sell your cards, a fast, quick and economical way to re-stock with your beautiful creations.

My 'Pink Pick' this month is a card I made using some gorgeous florals from the kit...

I also love the lace printed effect on the background, it is beautiful.  The florals look so pretty.

I have an extra 'Pink Pick' for this month too, just so I could show you more elements of the gorgeous

I have used the denim pockets on this card...

The detail on the pocket is lovely and I couldn't resist adding some bling.

I hope you like this kit, it has been very popular.

We have lot's of exciting things coming up, so to keep up to date I would love it if you could follow the blog.

You will also regularly see stunning projects from the rest of the design team. We have lot's of lovely things to show you all.

If you would also like to follow me over at my blog

I would really appreciate it.

I will be showcasing lot's more of my creation's using so many of the gorgeous kit's.

Thanks for stopping by, we always appreciate your visit's.

Till next time, happy crafting!

Lots of love
